Front and Back Door Lock

Make sure the door is fully closed.

To unlock: Touch the keypad to wake it. Enter your four-digit code, then press the checkmark button on the bottom right. It will turn blue when the door is unlocked.

To lock: Just press and hold the checkmark button on the bottom right until it turns orange.

Fire Extinguisher and Fire Blankets

Found to the right of the wall oven.

Smoke and CO2 alarms

Alarms are fitted throughout the house. They are on a mesh system, so if one goes off, they all go off. To turn them off, hold the button in the kitchen just above the thermostat next to the TV.

Security System

A security system is available if you wish to use it. The code is the same as the door code. Instructions on how to set it can be found here.

First Aid

A first aid kit can be found in the cupboard to the left of the kitchen TV

Heating

Heating in the main house is supplied by the radiators in each room, controlled by the thermostat in the living room. Heating in the kitchen and breakfast room is supplied by forced air, controlled by the thermostat in the kitchen.

Cooling

Cooling in the main house is supplied by the forced air, controlled by the thermostat on the upstairs landing. Cooling in the kitchen and breakfast room is supplied by forced air, controlled by the thermostat in the kitchen.

Hot Water

Hot water is supplied by a new tankless water heater, so you'll never run out of hot water. It may take a while for the hot water to get to your shower. To get the hot water circulating before you turn on the shower, just say, "Alexa, hot water".

Lighting

There are a lot of lights in the Marshall House. To make things easier, you can turn off the lamps in the TV Room, Living Room, and Foyer by saying, "Alexa, turn off the Seminary Downstairs Lights". To turn them back on, just say, "Alexa, turn on the Seminary Downstairs Lights".

Laundry

The laundry room in on the second floor. You'll find All Detergent and Downy Softener for your use. The washer has a Speed Wash setting which will wash a load in 30 minutes. The dryer is a steam dryer with a Refresh function to help remove wrinkles from your clothes. An ironing board and iron are also available.

Linens, Towels and Washcloths

Each bedroom has a basket containing towels and washcloths for each guest. Extra linens and towels can be found in the master closet.

We do not supply pool towels.

Paper Products

If you need additional paper products, they can be found in the closet just off the landing between the two king bedrooms

Things You Forgot to Pack

To the left of the TV in the kitchen is a cupboard full of things you might have forgotten to pack.

Coffee

We have a Keurig and a Ninja drip coffee maker with a gold filter, so you won't need a paper filter. A selection of K-cups are in the drawer for your enjoyment.

Tea

You'll find a selection of teas in the drawer next to the K-cups. There's a kettle for hot water, or, even easier, just use the Keurig without a K-cup in it.

Air Fryer

The Ninja Air Fryer has a ton of settings. We find the "Bake" setting great for things like pizza slices and warming bread. The Air Fry setting is great for frozen foods.

Dishwasher

The dishwasher is extremely quiet, so much so that you might not think it's running, but the timer will display if you've started it correctly. Note that it has a silverware tray that slides out from the top.

Ice

There is an Ice Maker in the kitchen island. Larger cubes are made by the ice machine in the freezer compartment of the Sub-Zero.

Trash

Please place trash in the trash can next to the TV, not the recycle bins under the sink. Spare trash bags can be found in the cupboard to the left of the TV.

Recycles

Please use the bins under the sink for recycles only. Spare bags can be found in the cupboard to the left of the TV.

TV and Movies

Please don't log out of our Amazon account or any of the apps. If you have your own streaming device, feel free to use it, but plug our Fire TV stick back in before you leave.

Live TV and local channels are provided through the Sling TV app.

We change our subscriptions from time to time, but you should have access to:

Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Max, Disney+, Apple TV+, Paramount+, Peacock, Discovery+, ESPN, etc

Music

Just ask Alexa to play your favorite song. Note that the TV speaker in the TV room is Alexa enabled.

Mosquitoes

We use a mosquito spraying service which works really effectively to limit mosquitoes in the garden. If you need mosquito repellent, you can find it in the cupboard to the right of the TV in the kitchen.

Fire Table

The control knob for the fire table can be found under the li[p, facing the pool. Please remember to turn off the fire table when you've finished using it.

Back Gate

The code to the back gate is the same as the front door code. Enter the code, press the checkmark button, then twist the handle to open.

Wildlife

Don't be surprised if you see something moving very fast around the pool. It's just our friendly chipmunks. And the tiny, but very loud bird that sits on the weather vane is a song sparrow. You might also catch a glimpse of the rabbit.
